of Sarasota County
Our Mission:
Members of the DWCSC are dedicated to working to close the gender gap that exists within our political system through recruiting, encouraging and supporting women to run for political office and strengthening the role of women in the political process. As dedicated Democrats, members also assist the party in electing Democratic Candidates for office and promoting the principles of the Democratic Party.
The Democratic Women’s Club of Sarasota County was formed in 2009 and has set forth the following goals:
- Create a more equitable representation and participation of women in all levels of the Democratic Party and in all levels of Government by encourage women to seek elected and appointed office.
